Chester Lodge No. 61’s history is elusive, but the Baltimore Sun uncovered a lead. In a 1905 letter to the Virginia Heraldry, W. M. W. sought information on the Walter, Shanks, Gardiner, Love, and Rovell families, connecting Walter “Watta B.” Bragg Walter to the lodge. The Grand Lodge of Virginia provided membership details.
