Front Royal Methodist Episcopal Church Corner-Stone Laying

On August 3, 1905, the Alexandria Gazette reported that Unity Lodge No. 146 had laid a corner-stone the day before, at the Front Royal Methodist Episcopal Church. The Grand Master of Virginia Masons was in charge. The ceremony was well attended with many Lodges and 125 Masons.

The corner-stone of the Front Royal methodist Episcopal Church was laid yesterday by Unity Lodge, No. 146, of Masons of that town. Thomas N. Davis, of Lynchburg, grand master of the State, had charge of the ceremony. Lodges from many sections of the State were well represented, about 125 Masons participating. After the cornerstone was laid Rev. Dr. W. W. Tudor, of Richmond, delivered an oration.
