J. A. LeHew Dies In Washington Jan. 5

J. A. LeHew, train master of the Washington and Old Dominion Railway Company, with headquarters in Washington, D. C. died at Georgetown hospital January 5, 1920 after an illness of several weeks. Mr. LeHew suffered from high blood pressure and kidney trouble. Funeral services were held Wednesday January 7, with internment at Alexandria, Va., his old home.

Mr. LeHew was well known in Strasburg where he made his home during his boyhood days. He was an estimable man liked by a host of people and was held in the highest esteem by his employers. When it was learned that transfusion was the only hope for his recovery a number of his friends gladly offered their blood. However this action on the part of hospital physicians failed to save his life. Surviving are J. Frank LeHew with hom the deceased made his home, George H. LeHew, trainmaster of the Southern Railway Company at Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. O. F. Pirkey of Strasburg.

The deceased was a Royal Arch Mason, member of Front Royal lodge and honorary member of the Strasburg lodge. The latter lodge was represented at the funeral by O. F. Pirkey who, in the name of teh order, presented a floral wreath. Many other floral offerings were given by friends and brother Masons.
