On May 2, 1924 the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported that Unity Lodge No. 146 of Front Royal was in attendance at the Corner-Stone Laying at Berryville High School on May 1st, hosted by Treadwell Lodge No. 213. Two Grand Masters from the Grand Lodge of Virginia and Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania were present after conferring the sublime degree of a Master Mason at Hiram Lodge No. 21. There was a parade, choir, music, and banquet. Many children, military and civic organizations were in the parade.

As of January 28, 2024, Berryville High School is currently in it’s third location which had a cornerstone ceremony in 2012 (Cornerstone Set For New High School: Shokey Builds November 21, 2012).
