Will Build New Masonic Temple

On March 24, 1925, the Richmond Times-Dispatch published an article stating that the Purdum property on Main Street was purchased by Unity Lodge for the building of a Masonic Temple at the cost of $10,500 on the prior day. A committee of building has been appointed and the temple will be three stories high, and made of brick.

FRONT ROYAL, VA., March 23. - Unity Lodge, A. F. & A. M., has purchased the Purdum property on Main Street for $10,500 and will shortly begin the erection of a new Masonic temple, which will be constructed of brick and is to be three stories high. A. N. Carroll, worshipful master, has appointed the following committee of building: James H. Shiner, chairman: J. M. Major, Thomas McNamara, Hugh R. Miller and Oma C. Maddox.
