Warren Masons Hold Program

About sixty Warren County Masons attended a get-together meeting in the lodge room of Unity Lodge No. 146 in the Masonic Temple in Front Royal last night.

Worshipful Master of Unity Lodge S. M. Boyd presided and P. M. Shirey, Past Grand High Priest of the Royal Arch Chapter of Virginia Masons, was chairman of the program committee and master of ceremonies.

W. G. Dearing made the address of welcome, to which Benjamin K. Hay responded. The nineteen Past Masters of Unity Lodge in attendance were represented by an address by Dr. W. F. Locke, of Winchester, Presiding Elder of Winchester District of the Methodist Church, who was followed by Rev. R. B. Claggett, who gave an historical address on Masonry. Hugh H. Bowman and R. J. Turner also spoke briefly.

A quartet composed of Rev. T. Eugene West, Rev. R. B. Claggett, E. Barr Sampsell and Harry Skelton rendered several numbers, and Rev. T. Eugene West furnished several solos. All the musical numbers drew applause, which was satisfied only by encores.

After the program, refreshments were enjoyed.
