Masons Hold Social Meeting

Unity Lodge, No. 146, A. F. & A. M., held a social meeting at which 51 Masons were present; 17 Past Masters, 32 members and 12 visitors. S. D. Boyd, Jr., called the meeting to order and requested Past Master P. M. Shirey to act as master of ceremonies. The program was as follows: “America”, prayer by Rev. H. W. Shannon, address of welcome by W. G. Dearing, quartette by Rev. T. Eugene West, E. Barr Samsell, Rev. R. B. Clagett and H. A. Skelton. Response to address of welcome was by B. J. Hay. Solo, by Rev. T. Eugene West, an address by W. F. Locke, quartette by same brethren as mentioned above, address by Rev. R. B. Clagett Solo by Brother West.

A few remarks were made by H. H. Bowman, R. J. Turner and the Worshipful Master.

Refreshments were served.

This was a very interesting meeting. The Masonic feeling that existed and the social features were very much enjoyed by all present.
