D. C. Masons Be Guests Of Cassia Lodge

Sixty members of Naval Lodge No. 4, of Washington, D. C., will be guests of Cassia Lodge No. 142 A. F. and A. M. of Woodstock on Saturday, June 9, when Roy Borden, son of G. L. Borden, of Tom’s Brook, master of Naval Lodge, will confer the master’s degree on a Washington candidate by special dispensation.

Vernon G. Owens, grand master of Masons for the District of Columbia, with Grand Master W. Mosley Brown, of Virginia, and other members of the Grand Lodge of Virginia, will attend, and Masons from Staunton, Harrisonburg, Luray, Front Royal, Winchester, Berryville, and Shenandoah and Arlington counties who have been invited, have indicated an intension to be present.

It is estimated that four hundred Masons will be in Woodstock on the night of the conferring of the degree and a special dispensation has been given to hold the session in Lantz Hall, Massanutten Academy. This will be the largest Masonic function in the Shenandoah Valley during the present year.
