Dr. Elizabeth B. Sherman Opens Office

We find that Dr. Elizabeth Sherman, a pediatrician, opened an office in the Masonic Building via the Warren Sentinel on September 27, 1934.


Dr. Elizabeth Sherman has announced the opening of her office in the Masonic Building, in Front Royal, for the practice of medicine, with special interest in pediatrics.

Dr. Sherman, a daughter of Rev. H. H. Sherman, D. D., is well known in this community where she has spent much time in former years. She was an honor graduate of the class of 1926, University of Maryland Medical School, Baltimore, Maryland. Her medical training also includes three years of hospital work at the University Hospital and the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, and fifteen months special training in children’s work at Bellevue Hospital and Seaview Tuberculosis Hospital, New York City.

After completing her training Dr. Sherman opened her office in Baltimore, Maryland, where she successfully specialized in children’s work for three years, and was also assistant physician at Goucher College for one semester.
