Passes OFR Radar In Navy
Louis Clifford Grannis Sr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Grannis Sr of 416 Duncan Ave. in Front Royal Virginia, successfully passed the test for Navy Radar according to Chief Mead at the Navy Recruiting Office in the Post Office in Winchester where the test was given.
Grannis is a senior at the Warren County High School in Front Royal where he is president of the Student Government Council. He is also in the school band and is a Past Master Councillor of the Two Rivers Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Front Royal. He is playing on the baseball team in school this spring and has played two varsity terms of basketball at Warren County.
Young Grannis has a sister Marianne attending the primary schools in Front Royal. His father is employed at the American Viscose Corporation there. Louis Jr. is also serving his second year as president of the Virginia Junior Academy of Sciences. Registered in Warren County Local Board No. 1 he will remain in Warren County High for graduation after which he will, report for induction as a Seaman First Class and be transferred to Great Lakes, Illinois.
