50-Year Pin For W. C. Pifer

On June 29, 1952, the Cumberland Sunday Times published an article regarding W. C. Pifer, a former mayor of Keyser, being presented with a 50-year pin from his lodge in Front Royal.

HONORED - W. C. Pifer, former mayor of Keyser, was honored recently by Unity Lodge 146, A. F. and A. M., at Front Royal, Va., for his service as a member of the lodge for over 50 years. He has been a resident of Keyser several years, but continues his membership in the Unity Lodge 146.

Pifer Given 50-Year Pin

KEYSER - W. C. Pifer, former mayor of Keyser, was honored recently by Unity Lodge, 146, A. F. and A. M. at Front Royal, Va., for his service as a member of the lodge for over 50 years.

The Virginia lodge held a communication to which Pifer was invited to be present. He was presented a 50-year emblem.

Pifer is one of two members of the lodge who have continued as members for 50 years. The honor was given by order of the Grand Masonic Lodge, Virginia. He became a Master Mason on February 21, 1902.

Pifer has been a resident of Keyser for the greater part of his life, but has continued his membership in his native city.
