It is with a heavy heart that I must report to you that our Brother James E. Roop’s son, Christopher, died yesterday morning (Christmas day). The family was in West Virginia and they found Chris on the floor. It took about 35 minutes for emergency services to respond. Jim was attempting resuscitation until they arrived. Jim is the Chief of Police at the Haymarket, VA Police Department.
Chris was between jobs and had no insurance. To help the family with expenses, an account is going to be set up tomorrow at the Fauquier Bank in Warrenton, VA, 540-347-2700.
Jim was raised on September 11, 1981 and is a LMIP member of Unity Lodge No. 146. Please contribute as liberally as you can to our Brother in his time of need. I will forward additional details as they are made available to me.
