J Elmer Murray Foster, 96, of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, February 18, 2013, at his home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Heaton.
Mr. Foster was born August 1, 1916 in Wabasha, MN, son of the late Charles Ovid Foster and Lena Ursala Waldburger Foster. He retired as Secretary General for Organizacion Regional Intermericana de la FEDERACION INTERNACIONAL DE EMPLEADOS Y TECNICOS. He was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church, Lake Superior Masonic Lodge # 186 in Duluth, MN and Front Royal Masonic Unity Lodge # 146 AF&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Raquel Del Carmen Foster of Front Royal; five sons, Richard Foster, Charles Foster, Mark Foster, Elmer Foster, and Mathias Klous; five daughters, Marjorie Snapp, Charlene Peiliker, Lena Ruth Foster, Jackie Blaney and Linda Omizo-Benson; nephew, Steve Million; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service was held at 7:00 by the Masonic Unity Lodge #146 and the Eastern Star Chapter #6.
