Master’s Message

Brethren of Unity Lodge No.146 A.F.&A.M.,

I trust this message finds each of my brothers and your family well. We have made great strides so far in presenting Masonic educational and video programs, developing our Unity Degree Team, learning and practicing our Rituals, and providing much needed maintenance to our Temple. I want to say “Thank You” to the many Brethren who have dedicated their time and energy to these projects.

April is looking to be a very busy month. We kick off with the official visit of our Grand Master to District 3 at Unity Lodge, Most Worshipful Louis Kerford Campbell, on Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:30 pm. The ticket sales and participation has been tremendous. We look to have a packed social hall for this event. A special thank you goes out to our Brother and District Deputy Grand Master for the 3rd Masonic District, Joel David Ratliff, Sr. for the hard work he has put in to making this visit a success. We will also be presenting two Community Builders Awards during this event.

Our April stated communication on Wednesday, April 3rd will welcome our featured speaker, Brother and Dr. Thomas E. Patteson, III who will enlighten us on Men’s Health concerns. We will present an educational video on the George Washington Memorial Temple as well as our regular educational reading and Lodge talk.

On Saturday, April 13th at 4:00 pm we will open our 2013 Table Lodge. Most Worshipful Gearl G. Raynes, Grand Master of Masons in West Virginia will be our guest speaker. This will be the first for many to participate in a Table Lodge. We are excited to have such a distinguished guest speaker and look forward to the fellowship with our visiting Brethren.

We are very proud of the work that has been done to our Temple; cleaned carpets, fresh paint, framed photographs, and most of all new energy and fellowship among the Brethren. Please come out and see what your Lodge is doing for you. We are planning our spring highway clean up, conferring the Fellow Craft degree on the 20th, and a blood drive on Sunday, April 21st from noon to 4:00 pm.

As always Brethren, let us Meet on the Level, Act by the Plum and Part upon the Square. This is our Lodge….Your Lodge. Be the change you wish to see in the world….it all begins where you were first made a Mason. Until we meet again my friend, may the God of Peace and Love delight to dwell with and bless you.

S & F,

Dennis Mark Haas
Worshipful Master
