Message from the Order of the Eastern Star

Sisters and Brothers,

Brother Joel and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members and friends for participating and attending the Open Installation of Officers on March 2nd. The installation was beautiful and the decorations came together beautifully with our theme “The Wizard of Oz.”

The following officers were installed:

Our next stated meeting will be held on Friday, April 5th at 7:30pm. There will be a practice at 6:30p.m. for all officers. A memorial will be conducted for our late Brother Elmer Foster.

We anticipate installing two of our officers who were unable to be with us on March 2^nd; Esther, Mary Lou Stancer and Warder, Lisa Geffert. Refreshments will be provided by Sisters Doris Miller, PM., Pam Miller, and Elaine Magee, PM.

Virginia’s Winter Wonderland Grand Chapter Session in Roanoke will be held Sunday, May 20^th-23, Roanoke Civic Center, 710 Williamson Rd., NE, Roanoke, Va. 24016. If anyone would like to purchase a 2013 Eastern Star directory at the cost of $15.00, please see our Secretary, Sister Elaine Magee, and PM.

We are planning several fund raisers. Our annual Pork BBQ dinner will be held Sunday, August 11^th. (Prep day, is Saturday, August 10^th). Tickets will be mailed in May to members of Front Royal Chapter to help make this event a success. Everyone is invited to participate and enjoy the excellent BBQ! Contact the Worthy Matron if you would like a meal.

We are looking forward to working with all members and officers for the ensuing year and hope to hear from each of you. In addition, we send an invitation to any mason of Unity Lodge No.146 to join our beautiful order. You will definitely be an asset to our beautiful order.
