Message from the Order of the Eastern Star

Sisters and Brothers,

In May we draped the altar and charter for our beloved members, Sister Lucille Sealock who passed away on April 18th, 2013 and Brother Richard Barber who passed away on April 28th 2013.

We were pleased to present Sister Elaine Magee her 25 year pin. Her continuous service to the Order of the Eastern Star has been exemplary and we are so blessed to have her in our Chapter.

In behalf of Front Royal Chapter No. 6 Order of the Eastern Star, we were honored to present two $500.00 scholarships:

Mashayla Capri Roy is an honor student at Skyline High School with a 4.0 grade point average. Her honors and awards includes, Outstanding French Student, Honor roll 9-12, sports letters for the Academic Team and Band. She was Vice President of the International club, member of the National Honors Society, Ambassador for the National Society of High School. She has been accepted to attend George Mason University and her intended major is Pharmacy.

Maria Gabrielle Haas is an honor student at Warren County High School with a 3.58 grade point average. Her honors and awards includes, Academic Excellence, Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholar and Ambassador, Joint Science and Technology Institute, AP Scholar, Principal’s Award 2007, and Algebra I student of the year 2008. She has been accepted to attend Virginia Tech and her intended major is Aerospace Engineering.

Our next stated meeting will be held on Friday, June 7^th at 7:30pm. We will honor Father’s and Flag Day. Refreshments will be provided by Sister Virginia and Brother Rodney Ayers.

We are planning several fund raisers. Our annual Pork BBQ dinner will be held Sunday, August 11^th. (Prep day, is Saturday, August 10th). Tickets will be mailed in June to members of Front Royal Chapter to help make this event a success. Everyone is invited to participate and enjoy the excellent BBQ! Contact the Worthy Matron if you would like a meal.

The Official Visit will be Saturday, September 28^th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
