Master’s Message

The update from Unity Lodge No.146 A.F.&A.M. includes various improvements to the Temple, enhanced ritual work, and active community participation. The lodge has undergone significant renovations, improved ritual performances, and engaged in community events. The members have also shown interest in a Masonic Motorcycle Club. The message encourages continued unity and positive change.

Events

In September, the lodge has several events including a dinner and stated communication on the 4th, an Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on the 14th, a Unity Degree Team ritual rehearsal and Masonic education on the 18th, and a Bring-A-Friend Annual Picnic on the 21st. Ritual rehearsals and Masonic education continue on the 25th and 28th.

Front Royal officials open cornerstone set by local masons at Town Hall in 1935

In 1935, Leslie Sealock, then 8, was uninterested in the placing of a time capsule in the Town Hall cornerstone. 39 documents were enclosed, and the capsule was recently presented to the Warren Heritage Society. The town has undergone significant growth since then, with Sealock noting that he hardly recognized anyone at a recent fair.

Stated Agenda

The evening at Stewart C. Payne Social Hall begins with dinner at 6:30pm, followed by an open Master Mason’s Lodge at 7:30pm. The event features a speaker, Masonic education talks, administrative matters, and concludes at 9:15pm. Topics include membership, charity, and various business matters.

Message from the Order of the Eastern Star

The August meeting was a success, raising over $1,800 for charity. A luncheon is planned for October 5th, and a communication committee is being formed to keep in touch with members. School of instruction on September 22nd and the Official Visit on September 28th. The next meeting will be on September 6th.
