Greetings from the East,
Our last stated meeting was well attended. The DDGM presented a very informative and entertaining program. At the close he presented the lodge with a framed print of George Washington kneeling in Prayer at Valley Forge, it is on display near the tilers chair.
The lodge currently has one Fellow Craft working as well as two Entered Apprentices. We are anticipating work in Master Mason degree in March. You will be notified when the date is set. We also have a petition for final reading scheduled for March 4th.
The Main topic for business matters will focus on unpaid dues. Brethren if you have unpaid dues from past years and are aware of this situation please make contact with the lodge secretary to inform him of any issues you have or may be having at present. This is very important. Grand lodge expects each lodge to pay for each member which we do, but if you do not pay your dues your lodge must bare the burden. Currently this amount is substantial and could cause dues increases for those members who stay current.
Our planned Program for March 4th is to be presented by the District Education Officer and Lodge Services Representative. Please come join us for dinner at 6:30 pm prior to our stated meeting. A $10 donation per plate is requested. Wives and family members as well as properly invited guests are most welcome.
Last Saturday Morning Breakfast will be held from 8 am to 10 am Saturday March 28th, please come out and enjoy the fellowship and good food.
Finally brethren I would like to thank the members who faithfully support the lodge with your attendance and encourage the rest of us to come and share the joys of masonry with us.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Harry Wesley Hammack
Worshipful Master
