Master’s Message

Additionally, there are events at the Kena Temple in Fairfax and the Alexandria Scottish Rite throughout the month.

In August, several Masons celebrate their Masonic birthdays, including Bro. Paul Jones Thomas, III and Bro. Donald Eugene Rasnake. The list also includes notable dates such as Aug. 15, 2012, when Bro. Henry Elith Larsen, Jr. and Bro. Walter Scotty Reid, Jr. marked their Masonic anniversaries.

Freemasonry At The Table

In its early history, the Masonic Fraternity met in taverns, sharing conviviality and performing rituals over drinks. While the practice of consuming alcohol in Lodge rooms was lost during the prohibition, historic drinking implements and glassware adorned with Masonic symbols serve as reminders of this joyful tradition. Today, they offer a glimpse into Freemasonry’s past.

Royal Arch Chapter

The chapter had a busy July, hosting a leadership course and conferring Council Degrees. There are upcoming events such as the William B. Millican school, Royal Arch School, Bev Armel Royal Arch School of Instruction, and “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.” Also, the 208th Annual Grand Convocation is scheduled for November 12-14, 2015.
