Royal Arch Chapter

I hope this message finds each of you and your family well.

Your chapter was very busy in July. We hosted the district’s Grand Royal Arch Chapter Leadership Correspondence Course 2 & 3. 21 companions completed the course which was facilitated by Rt. Ex. Raymond Douglas Steele and Companion Ed Tooma. The class was very interactive and the companions enjoyed great food and fellowship.

We conferred the Council Degrees on a candidate from Luray RAC No. 4. On Saturday July 25th our candidate, Companion Jeremy Ray Almond, attended a 1day Festival in Salem, VA. We want to welcome Companion Jeremy to Hiram Royal Arch Chapter.

As a reminder, the William B. Millican school will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 31st and August 1st in Waynesboro, VA at the Best Western Inn and Suites in conjunction with the Reid J. Simmons School. If you plan on attending both days, we will car pool from Front Royal down and back. The cost to attend the school is $15.00 per day. Meals are on your own.

As informed by our District Lecturer, Rt. Ex. Mark Pennypacker, Rt. Excellent Randy Johnson, the Grand Lecturer, will be holding a Royal Arch School on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The school will be held at the Winchester Masonic Temple in Winchester, Virginia. Lunch will be on your own.

On Thursday, August 27th at 7:30 pm we will host the quarterly Bev Armel Royal Arch School of Instruction. Rockingham RAC No. 6 will bring the refreshments.

Make plans to participate and support our area “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” scheduled for Friday, October 2nd at the John Handley High School. Contact our District Almoner, Companion Stephen Craig Wheeler for more information.

Our 208th Annual Grand Convocation will be held at the Fort Magruder Hotel & Conference Center in Williamsburg, VA on November 12 – 14, 2015. Make your travel plans and reserve your room early.

Please attend your stated convocation on the 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30 pm. We always enjoy a tremendous meal and fellowship. If you need a ride, contact me and we will arrange transportation.
