From The Master
Most Worshipful William Edward Hershey, Jr. delivered an inspiring speech at the DLC in Warrenton on March 15th. He emphasized the importance of supporting the Grand Master’s campaign and attending Subordinate Lodges Officer’s Training. He encouraged members to make meetings more engaging and attractive. The focus was on strengthening fellowship and friendship within the Lodge.

Sick and Distressed
Brother Bill Wood is recovering at home following double bypass surgery and plans to attend the FC Degree for Brother Teachout’s catechism examination. Meanwhile, Brother Allen Derflinger is hospitalized after a stroke. Let’s keep these Brothers and their families in our thoughts and prayers.

The organization is updating its list of widows associated with the Lodge and seeking a replacement for the program. They are asking for current contact information or volunteers to help with the initiative.

Masonic Youth Organizations
A Masonic youth program is being established in the valley, following the Grand Master’s directive. Members are invited to a presentation before the April stated meeting, and encouraged to bring kids/grandkids aged 12-21. Brother Ed Bull is the point of contact, and has replaced the lodge flags.

New Members of Unity Lodge
The lodge is thriving with new membership. Brother Seth Teachout’s FC Degree is on March 20th at 7p. Brother Haase is progressing with his EA catechism and will soon receive his FC Degree. Additionally, two new membership petitions are under investigation. Your presence at the FC Degree is encouraged.

Fred D. Bowman Area Ritual School
Unity Lodge is hosting a school with Districts showcasing three degrees, conducting the FC Degree this year. They seek proficient volunteers for the District Team and kitchen help for the event, an opportunity to raise funds. The event takes place on 3/27 @ 7P at Unity Lodge, with food provided by the hosting team.

The upcoming Masonic events include Mother’s BBQ Buffet on May 1st, District Ritual School on May 30th, Grand Master’s Official Visit in July, and District 3 Bring A Friend Picnic on September 21st. Other events include Masonic Family Day on October 12th and the 2019 Grand Annual Communication from November 8-10 in Richmond.
