Unity Lodge was honored to have several youth members at our April’s stated communication to represent the various Masonic youth programs. We were visited by: Master Counselor Charles Hite, Past Master Counselor Preston Hamrick and Senior Deacon Austin Martin from the Prince William Chapter of DeMolay, Senior Princess Beth Greenwell from Job’s Daughters Bethel 55 as well as John Stallings the North Regional Deputy of Virginia DeMolay. The youth presented a wonderful program as to their experiences within the DeMolay and the Job’s Daughters programs. I think that I can speak for all who attended as to the poise and professionalism which the youth presented themselves. It was quite remarkable as well as inspiring.
I would like to remind everyone that Unity and Spurmont Lodges are cosponsoring a new DeMolay chapter, the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of DeMolay. If you are able to commit some of your time to the new chapter please let either myself or Brother Bob Nichols, the Chapter Dad, know. We currently meet on the first Sunday of every month at Unity at 4p. Even more importantly if you know of a male youth between the ages of 11 to 21 that could benefit from this organization please get them a petition. I took great pride in knowing that my eldest son, Connor, was officially the first petitioner to the new chapter and I look forward to sharing new experiences with him through DeMolay.
