Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial
In 1993, the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania erected a Masonic Memorial honoring the bonds of friendship between Freemasons of the Union and Confederacy. The memorial depicts the friendship between Union General Winfield Scott Hancock and Confederate General Lewis Addison Armistead, who fought on opposite sides during the Civil War, and their poignant encounter at Gettysburg.

Brother Heyward Grady Kolb, Jr passed away on June 2nd in the Virginia Beach Area. The Brothers of Princess Anne Lodge No. 25 in Virginia Beach performed the Masonic burial rites for Brother Kolb and his family.

Masonic Youth Organizations
On June 1st, I attended the initiation ceremony and DeMolay Degree for the new members at Shenandoah Valley DeMolay Chapter, alongside Right Worshipful Haas and Brother Nickols. The event impressed me, with young men leading the degrees. It was open to families and recommended for attendance. Contact Brother Bob Nickols for further information.

The Masonic lodge has advanced members to Fellowcraft and plans to conduct a Master Mason degree. They are organizing rehearsals and seeking commitment during the challenging summer months.
