Master’s Message

The Unity Lodge has encountered issues with other organizations and members from other Lodges. The Worshipful Master, Charles Taggart, plans to address these concerns at the August communication and invites members to share their opinions. He references specific sections of Masonic literature for consideration.

Official Visit of the 174th Grand Master of Masons in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Most Worshipful William Edward “Bill” Hershey, Jr., the 174th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, visited Masonic Districts No. 2 & 3 on July 19th. Sick and Distressed

The passing of Worshipful Brother Charles Seaford in July has deeply impacted us all. We express our gratitude to Right Worshipful Kevin Davidson for conducting the funeral rites and the Brothers who attended. The significant turnout reflects the high regard for our Brother. We will truly miss Charlie.

Widow’s Program

At the Grand Master’s visit, our Lodge’s widows were honored, with five in attendance. We express gratitude to Brother Will and the So Mote It Beef BBQ team for providing corsages for the ladies. Contact Brother Will Bryan for more information.

Masonic Youth Organizations

The Shenandoah Valley DeMolay Club holds meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays, aiming to grow from its five members. They express gratitude for financial support and seek to attract more young men to benefit from the fraternity’s teachings. Contact Brother Bob Nickols for details.

New Members of Unity Lodge

The Unity Lodge recently raised Brothers Cole Haase and Mark Butler to the Master Mason degree, expressing gratitude to assisting brothers and seeking more participation in lodge degree practices. Additionally, the fraternity initiated Brothers George Money and Ed Broome, planning their Fellowcraft Degree for Wednesday the 21st.

Upcoming Dates

The Blue Lodge has several upcoming events, including dinners, ritual practices, and meetings. Non-Blue Lodge activities involve various organizations, and there are also events being held elsewhere. Important future events include a Bring a Friend Picnic in September, Masonic Family Day in October, and the 2019 Grand Annual Communication in November.
