Ho Companions,
Thanksgiving is upon us and soon will be Christmas. This Thanksgiving I ask that you reflect on the many blessings that our Lord and Savior has blessed you with. As I write this December message to you, I am reminded of a brother who lost his daughter in a vehicle crash several months ago. This tragic loss has greatly effected him and his family and he struggles with this loss every day. He tries to see the good, but cannot! He is angry with God! How could God let such a tragic event happen? How can he be thankful? My Companions, we all have our demons to deal with. We all have suffered through the loss of a loved one. How did you cope with it? How did you move forward? We need to always to stretch forth our hand to sustain a falling brother, to remember a brother’s welfare as our own, and whisper good council in his ear. Do you live by these tenants or do you get caught up in your own life events? I ask that you take time each day to thank God for your many blessings, to pray for your family, friends, and brethren. We never know what tomorrow brings. Let us use our time wisely, let us be a positive influence in our family and community. Let us think before we speak. Let us live the life that our Lord and Savior will reply to us, “well done thy good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things; I will make thee ruler over many things, enter now into the joy of thy Lord.”
