Companions,
As January comes to a close, Capitular Masonry in the 15th District is alive and well. Many of us are travelling throughout the district visiting and supporting the other chapters, learning parts of the Mark Master Degree ritual and enjoying Royal Arch Education, food, and fellowship.
Many of us accompanied our Grand High Priests, Most Excellent Raymond Douglas Steele, as he made 4 official district visits in January, not only to our District, but also to Districts 1 and 17 in Manassas and to the 18th District in Culpeper. The food and fellowship was outstanding and the generous contributions made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Project Lifesaver, Lady Barbara’s raffle tickets, and Autism was enthusiastically supported. Our Grand Almoner, Right Excellent Jason “Jake” Curtis Trenary provided an overview for the 2020 Strategic Plan for the Alzheimer’s Association and how we plan to support it this year. Please visit our Grand Chapter website:

for up-to-date information around the Commonwealth and for very useful educational Royal Arch programs available for download. There will be a “lock in” hosted by the Big Ash Masonic Cigar Club at Long Ridge Cigars located in Winchester on Friday January 31st at 7:00 pm. Food, drink, and Masonic fellowship will be included as well as a great opportunity to bring a man that you would like to see petition for masonry. We will have a donation bucket and all proceeds will go to support Project Lifesaver. Our goal is to collect $200 during this event — Bring CASH. On Saturday, February 29th from 3:00 – 7:00 pm we have partnered again with Long Ridge Cigars to host a, “Making Memories for Alzheimer’s” bourbon tasting and cigar pairing event. This is a good opportunity to enjoy some of the finest bourbon and cigars in the Shenandoah Valley. For a contribution of $50.00 you purchase a ticket that entitles you to a 5 shot bourbon flight tray and your choice of cigar. We will also have door prizes
and a 50/50 raffle, 5 dollars per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.00. Again, through the generous donations of our sponsors, we have no cost for the bourbon or the cigars so 100% of the proceeds collected during this event will go to the Alzheimer’s Association for the 15th Capitular District. Please contact me or our Grand Almoner, RE Jake Trenary for additional details. Our goal is to raise $1,000 during this event — Bring CASH.
