The Lodge is proud to host a fundraiser for the Hope and Rest Temporary Shelter (HARTS) in our social hall. Join us on November 16 from 6 to 8 pm for a delicious barbecue dinner with smoked chicken and all the fixings, available for just $15 per plate.
HARTS, formerly known as the Front Royal Thermal Shelter, provides a low-barrier shelter for individuals 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness. They offer a welcoming environment during the cold winter months, starting December 7, 2024. Last year, they served 378 meals and supported 103 individuals. The Lodge is committed to this cause by cooking and serving meals once a month throughout the year, as well as making donations to support HARTS leading up to the winter season.
We would also like to recognize Michelle Smeltzer, President of HARTS, who was honored with the Community Builders Award in 2021 for her leadership of the thermal shelter and her work with Social Services in Warren County.
