Unity Lodge No. 146 Adopts a Warrior Family This Christmas

Unity Masonic Lodge No. 146 is proud to announce our participation in the Adopt-a-Warrior family program through the Able Forces Foundation. This meaningful initiative supports wounded, ill, and injured military families, as well as veteran families, who are unable to provide Christmas for their children due to financial hardships.

As part of this program, we will help make the holiday season special for a deserving family by providing:

  • A Christmas tree to brighten their home
  • A holiday dinner for up to eight people
  • Five gifts from each child’s wish list
  • A thoughtful gift for the parents

Able Forces is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by a disabled veteran. Its mission is to provide immediate financial assistance to military and veteran families in financial crises as identified by military bases or veteran advocates.

The Adopt-a-Warrior Family program aligns closely with Masonic values of charity, relief, and brotherly love by helping those who have sacrificed so much for our country during their time of need. As Masons, we believe in supporting the community and extending kindness and care to others, particularly those who have served to protect our freedoms.

Skip Rogers, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Able Forces, exemplifies these principles through his tireless advocacy for veterans. He has previously shared his mission with our Lodge at a breakfast event and was honored with the Community Builder Award earlier this year for his impactful work.

We are humbled to support this vital program and help bring joy and hope to a local warrior family this Christmas.
