On December 12, 2025, members of the lodge made their monthly visit to the local senior center, continuing a tradition focused on fellowship, conversation, and a shared meal.

One Brother prepared the ham ahead of time before transporting it to the center, ensuring the meal was ready to be enjoyed by everyone. Another Brother—well known for joking that he attends primarily for the staff’s “special” macaroni and cheese—was, as usual, found spending most of his time moving from table to table, chatting and laughing with the seniors.

Extra Spirit in the Room
Joining the Masons was the Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, accompanied by two additional Sisters. Their presence brought an extra spark of holiday energy, lifting spirits throughout the room.
Earlier, the Worthy Matron had playfully instructed one Brother to wear a red shirt for the occasion. Once she learned he was also a clown, the surprise was revealed: oversized pajamas and a Christmas-themed jester hat complete with bells, offered with laughter and good humor.
Laughter as Service

Dressed in her own pajamas and carrying a teddy bear, the Worthy Matron joined the Brother as the two made their way around the room. The sight was unexpected, lighthearted, and warmly received—prompting smiles, laughter, and plenty of conversation among the seniors.
Fellowship Beyond the Meal
While the food was appreciated, the real gift of the afternoon was connection. The visit wasn’t just about serving a meal—it was about being present, sharing joy, and reminding the seniors that they are remembered and valued, especially during the holiday season.
Moments like these reflect the heart of the monthly visits: simple acts, genuine interactions, and a willingness to bring warmth—sometimes in the form of pajamas, bells, and a teddy bear—where it’s needed most.
