On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Unity Lodge No. 146 held its annual election and installation of officers for the 2026 Masonic year. The ceremony was conducted with dignity and precision under the direction of Loki Voight, who served as Installing Marshal, assisted by Chip Bennett. His service added a special level of solemnity and brotherly warmth to the evening.
This year’s installation reflected a meaningful balance of continuity and fresh leadership. Several brothers advanced to new stations, guided by years of commitment and steady labor. Charles Taggart concluded an excellent year in the East and now continues his leadership journey as Senior Warden. Lewis “Lewie” Moten, who served faithfully as Senior Deacon in 2025, advanced to the role of Junior Warden.
Mike Singleton moves from the West to assume a new role as Secretary, bringing his experience and steady presence to benefit the Lodge. Stepping aside from that role is Keven Walek, who has served for many years as the Lodge’s long-running and highly respected Secretary. In 2026, he brings that same care and diligence to the East as our new Worshipful Master.
Other officers, including Harry “Wes” Hammack as Treasurer and Samuel Cartee as Chaplain, continue in their trusted roles, providing valuable consistency as the Lodge moves into a new year of labor.
Among the appointed officers, several brothers took on new responsibilities for the coming year. Bret Bement, who served as Marshal in 2025, now moves forward to serve as Junior Deacon. Jackson Dierberg, last year’s Junior Steward, has advanced to the role of Marshal. David Downes continues his faithful service as Tiler. The Steward positions for 2026 will be filled soon, allowing new brothers the opportunity to step into service and begin their journey in the officer line.
