x. x. xxxxxxxx was appointed Secretary pro tem; x. x. xxxxxxxx was appointed Treasurer pro tem; x. x. xxxxxxxx, was appointed to Senior Deacon; x. x. xxxxxxxx was appointed to Junior Deacon pro tem, and x. x. xxxxxxxx was appointed Tyler pro tem.
A Master Mason’s Lodge was then opened in due and ancient form. The blessings of the Supreme Architect of the Universe, having been invoked upon the members of this and all other just and legally constituted Lodges, the Worshipful Master declared the Lodge open and ready for work.
The following petitions were then presented and ordered to be disposed of agreeably to the Constitution Masonry.

It was ordered that the “Code of By-Laws” as laid down in the Virginia Text Book be and are hereby adopted for our Government, till changed or substituted by others.
It was ordered that Bro. x. x. xxxxxxxx, x. x. xxxxxxxx, and x. x. xxxxxxxx be appointed to procure a suitable (room) for a Lodge meeting place, and to make report thereof at our next meeting.
Master Mason’s Lodge dispensed with and a Lodge opened on the first degree of Masonry in due and ancient form, declared ready to proceed, to receive instructions, whereupon a Lecture on that degree was given by Bro. x. x. xxxxxxxx.
The Lodge was then closed on the first degree of Masonry in due form. Master Masons’s Lodge resumed. Ordered that this Lodge, having nothing before it, now close to meet hereon Tuesday night next, the 24th inst. Master Mason’s Lodge closed in due and ancient form.

The preceding record were the minutes of the first meeting of Unity Lodge No. 146.
At the next meeting, the committee appointed to make arrangements for a suitable room in which to hold Lodge meetings, reported that the room presently occupied, belonging to x. x. xxxxxxxx, could be had and it was so arranged at a rental of $50.00 per year.
