    Two new members, Brother Cole Haase and Brother Seth Teachout, were initiated as Entered Apprentices on January 30th. The lodge received support from various Brothers during the ceremony. Worshipful Mike Huff delivered an outstanding lecture, while Brother Will Bryan, the Junior Warden, treated everyone to BBQ. The event concluded with billiards at On Cue. Read more

    Labor Day, initially celebrated on September 5th, 1882, now falls on the first Monday in September. The holiday’s origins are attributed to labor leaders Peter McGuire and Mathew Maguire. McGuire, a carpenter, expressed sentiments resembling Freemasonry, but neither he nor Maguire had verifiable ties to the fraternity. Read more

    Most Excellent Donald Leo McAndrews and other dignitaries enjoyed a successful Official Visit to District 15, with generous donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Future events include degrees on February 6th and 20th, as well as a Royal Arch School of Instruction on February 26th. Attendance is encouraged, with support available for transportation. Read more

    The August meeting was a success, raising over $1,800 for charity. A luncheon is planned for October 5th, and a communication committee is being formed to keep in touch with members.     The April meeting of the Order of the Eastern Star was well-attended, but marked by the passing of Sister Lucille Ann Balderson Sealock, a dedicated member for over 50 years. Plans for future events, including fund raisers and the Virginia Grand Chapter Session, were also discussed. The next meeting is scheduled for May 3rd. Read more
