Attending Woodstock Lodge Masons
Tonight, Messrs. George N. Buck, P. M. Shirey, E. Barr Samsell, A. N. Carroll, J, L. Borden, and Ott W. Borden will attend a meeting of the Woodstock Lodge of Masons where third degree work will be demonstrated by a Washington, D. C. lodge. Northern Virginia Daily reported this on June 9, 1934. D. C. Masons Be Guests Of Cassia Lodge
Sixty members of Naval Lodge No. 4 from Washington, D. C., will attend Cassia Lodge No. 142 A. F. and A. M. of Woodstock on June 9. The event will include the conferring the master’s degree and will be attended by notable Masons, making it the largest Masonic function in the Shenandoah Valley this year. Read more

Four Borden Brothers Raised
In May 1923, the Shenandoah Herald reported on the “Regular Meeting Cassia Lodge,” noting four brothers raised together and their cousins’ presence, with three from Unity Lodge. A total of 19 lodges were represented at the meeting, with 19 participants from Unity Lodge, including the District Deputy Grand Master. Read more

Ten Members Assisting Initiation
