S. M. Boyd, Jr., Passes Away At Front Royal
Stephen Miller Boyd Jr. passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 6. He was an active member of the community, serving as chairman of the Warren County Electoral Board, among other roles. Graduating from Virginia Tech in 1916, he was also a veteran of World War I and heavily involved in local organizations. Read more

In the July 5, 1963 issue of The Hopewell News, it was reported that H. Douglas Hammer Jr., a member of Unity Lodge No. 146, became the City Manager in Hopewell after serving as Town Manager in Front Royal. He was also affiliated with the Hiram Royal Arch Chapter No. 45. Read more
