On this day in 1753, George Washington became a master mason at Alexandria Lodge No. 39. Meetings were held in local taverns, featuring ritual toasts and songs, with participants slamming their glasses on the table to mimic gunfire. The Grand Lodge has received the delinquent membership list and will be sending letters soon. Respond promptly to express your wishes. Remember, suspension in the blue lodge extends to other pendant bodies. Each delinquent member costs $38 in Grand Lodge Dues, totaling $570. Help catch up by December 31, 2013 and support new applicants. Read more
