November 2006 Trestle Board
In October, Unity Lodge held a successful Stated Communication, honoring long-time members and electing new candidates for upcoming Degrees. The lodge will also attend the Grand Lodge’s Annual Communication and hold various meetings and events throughout the month. The upcoming months are packed with events at Unity Lodge. On October 13th, they will honor long-standing members and have a Stated Communication. Edwin H. Harper Obituary
On August 3, 2000, The Star Democrat published an obituary for Edwin H. Harper, a veteran Army Air Corps Captain in World War II. In Recognition of Noted Civil War Historian, Hugh D. McCormick
Hugh D. McCormick, a distinguished lawyer, author, Civil War historian, and World War II veteran, passed away at 95. Hon. Frank R. Dr. Grubbs
Dr. Ernest Linwood Grubbs, a dedicated physician in Front Royal for over 50 years, passed away at 90. Graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1904, he served the community as a general practitioner and assisted in establishing hospital facilities.
