The Luray Commandery No 19 successfully relocated its Conclave meeting location to the Front Royal Masonic Temple, with approval from the Right Eminent Grand Commander. The chapter remains active, conferring degrees and supporting growth. They will present educational sessions to Blue Lodge Master Masons and encourage attendance at upcoming events. Shifflet And Bell At Camp Perry
In 1945, Richard Nelson Bell, former member of Two Rivers Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Front Royal, enlisted in the Navy and completed boot camp at Camp Perry, Virginia. Bell was active in sports and fraternity life. Read more

Dinner in Honor Of Baptist Pastor
On December 7, 1934, a testimonial dinner was held for Rev. T. Eugene West at the First Baptist Church. Speakers from various organizations expressed appreciation for his work. Dr. William Moseley Brown led the event, with Masons from various locations paying tribute to Dr. McFaden. The ceremony included hymns, addresses, and prayers in honor of the esteemed individual. Four Borden Brothers Raised
In May 1923, the Shenandoah Herald reported on the “Regular Meeting Cassia Lodge,” noting four brothers raised together and their cousins’ presence, with three from Unity Lodge. A total of 19 lodges were represented at the meeting, with 19 participants from Unity Lodge, including the District Deputy Grand Master. Read more

J. A. LeHew Dies In Washington Jan. 5
J. A. LeHew, a train master, passed away on January 5, 1920, due to high blood pressure and kidney trouble. He was well-regarded and had deep connections in Strasburg. Though efforts were made for his recovery, he did not survive. He was survived by family and honored by his Masonic brethren. Read more
